The American Medical Association also found no evidence that anti-microbial materials can make a person become healthier or safer. That is, we should not use products to excess anti-bacterial because it could potentially make the microbes become more powerful. In addition, some studies also found that high concentrations of triclosan is very harmful to the habitat of algae that live in rivers and streams. Triclosan can also disrupt hormonal balance and function in the human body.Solution: Detergent and soap (without triclosan or anti-bacterial) is enough to kill bacteria. According to Rebecca Sutton, PhD, senior scientist at Environmental Working Group propagators, Quats also thought to be a cause of respiratory distress."There is evidence to show, even people with healthy physical condition that their daily exposure to Quats can suffer from asthma," explained Rebecca. The solution: Reduce the need to stop even if the use of fabric softener. To soften the fabric, you can use natural material with a mixture of vinegar and tea-tree oil."Vinegar is a natural fabric softener.
